There may be no cooler dad in the world than Brad Pitt, but at the Jolie-Pitt household he comes second to...Spider-Man!
The adorable dad -- who brought along sons Maddox, 9, and Pax, 6, to the New York City premiere of his upcoming movie Megamind -- revealed to People that his kids are big on the superhero. "Spider-Man is big in our family," he says. "The kids think he's the coolest. If there was one superhero they would want me to play, that would be the one. I'd score big with them."
But since Andrew Garfield has taken over web-slinging responsibilities, Pitt, 46, opted to take on a new superhero persona -- a role which hit close to home. "I'm a father of six," he tells USMagazine.com. "I mean, I'm a dad and with that comes some super powers."
In the animated film Megamind (which hits theaters Friday), Pitt plays Metro Man, the longtime foe of Will Ferrell's Megamind. "I think he looks a bit like (George) Clooney, which is obviously not as good," the actor joked to Access Hollywood about his character.
He also explained why he chose to bring his oldest sons as his dates for the evening. "I'm sneaking in the boys tonight. I think they will like it, but they are tough critics," Pitt said. "Will Ferrell is very popular in our house, so the boys will get a kick out of that. Hopefully they will think Dad's really cool and better than Spider-Man."
Turns out, his kids' opinions are a very important part of his career now. "(I took the part in Megamind) for my kids. They liked the story, and I liked it," he said. "Every role we choose now, we choose it for the kids. Will the kids like it? Will they like it when they are young adults? Or is this a good location for the family? That's it." (But leave it to Pitt's Megamind costar Tina Fey to take the completely opposite -- and hilarious -- approach. The funny gal told Access Hollywood that she only picks projects that feature "super buff guys"!)
Unfortunately Pitt couldn't bring the whole family along for his special night, as Angelina Jolie is with their other children in Budapest while she is filming her latest project. The Oscar-nominated actor jokingly referred to their big brood as a "military mobile unit" to Extra and revealed that they'll all likely be overseas for Thanksgiving. "We'll whip up a turkey somewhere," he said.
